as we’ve said before…fashion is our muse, our touchstone for designing and curating tile, and the subject of numerous conversations. at clé we each have our favorites, our list of designers on the move. and no one is immune from this fascination. even our head of supply chain is a fashion fan.
we’re fascinated by the way these designers layer color, texture, shape, and ideas in endlessly fresh combinations–much in the same way we think of our tile collections coming together, the bundles we create, and the way we think about tile pairings–the art and artistry of combining tile in spaces.
when it comes to tile pairings, we believe that while combining the expected is lovely, but combining the unexpected is wonderful. marry colors you don’t usually see together. bring together surprising textures and vibes. introduce a little modernity to the classics.
mine all the tensions. and don’t be afraid to bring individuality, a strong point of view, and a touch of quirk to it all.
